To explore these molecular changes we utilized a standardized Yoga protocol, i.e., Common Yoga Protocol, recommended by Govt. of India for International Day of Yoga. This protocol has been designed as such, so that it can be practiced by individuals of all age groups, and it includes all aspects of Yoga, i.e., Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation. After the practice of Yoga, increases in neurotropic markers like BDNF and angiogenic markers such as VEGF and Angiogenin suggest potential benefits for brain health and vascular function.
