How would you explain your research in 3 sentences to someone who is not in science?
To pursue a research career in the field of Cognitive Neuroscience and Neural Stem cells to understand the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative disorders and identify novel strategies for treatments in the benefit of Mankind. Also to prove my diligence and trustworthiness and to leave no stone unturned in bringing up the Organization’s name. I will act as a problem solver with the attitude “Never give up”.

You will always find this guy busy in eating. But he is health conscious too. Avijit has a great sense of humor and he is very practical with his life. He is confident on his every activity and that always reflects on his face. One hidden quality about Avi, is his voice. He can simply captivate others by his singing instinct. He loves traveling, specially with friends.
About your work
I have completed my Ph.D in Alzheimer’s disease pathology and Stem cells transplantation from Neuroscience Research Lab, Department of Neurology, PGIMER under the supervision of Dr. Akshay Anand. Currently I am working as Senior Demonstrator assisting lab PI in coordinating various research projects and diagnostic work. I am also involved in Academic activities like teaching, arranging interdisciplinary talks and Administrative activities like GLP compliance, regulation of lab environment and overall progress of the unit.
