How would you explain your research in 3 sentences to someone who is not in Science?
I screen the DNA to look for variations which might be responsible for increasing the risk of a disease or may affect the effectiveness of a drug or an exercise or Yoga intervention. I love to explore a single or combination of variations that affects the biological pathway outcome inclining the physiology towards a disease or disorder.

I am honest, sincere, humble, calm, caring and a kind person with an optimistic approach towards life. I am careful thinker with an eye for minute details and logic. I have the confidence to speak about my opinions on variety of issues. Apart from science, I am interested in music, movies and travelling to enjoy nature.
About your work
I have been involved in variety of projects since I joined NRL. I have worked in projects on neuro- genetics of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Amyloid beta Alzheimer's disease mouse model and effect of Yogic breathing intervention in COVID patients. Currently, I am investigating autophagy genes in Age-related macular degeneration at gene and protein level.
