How would you explain your research in 3 sentences to someone who is not in Science?

I am studying how yoga can help people recover after a mild traumatic brain injury. My research examines the impact of yoga on post-concussion symptoms, cognitive function, and blood biomarkers of mTBI.

I am a curious and open-minded person with a strong interest in science. I enjoy learning new concepts that improve my skills and thinking. I have a background in zoology. I have been a part of the National Cadet Corps during my graduation. I enjoy playing cricket and chess, and listening to music.

About your work?

In my study, people with mild traumatic brain injury are given a structured yoga program alongside standard care. I assess their post-concussion symptoms and cognitive performance using questionnaires and neuropsychological tests before and after the intervention. I also analyze blood biomarkers of mTBI to understand if Yoga can help reduce injury and inflammation at the molecular level.
