Molecular Diagnostics
The lab has potential to cater to patient care and can provide genetic testing services in the region and world if routed through Director, PGI. One of the goals of the lab is to strengthen this program by incorporating new tests for other neurological disorders.
MLPA based tests were launched for Huntington’s Disease, Recessive Ataxias, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Leukodystrophy, spinomuscular atrophy, DMD, Dystonia, Segawa Disease, AMD, Migraine, Frontotemporal Dementia, Corticobasal degeneration, progressive supranuclear palsy under stringent quality check. Technology for its internationalization is available.
