How would you explain your research in 3 sentences to someone who is not in science?
Muscular Dystrophies are group of disorders, in which, muscular necrosis is a prominent feature. Mental Retardations are also present in one third of those afflicted. I would be involved in exploring the variable degrees of these problems associated mainly due to genetic locations of defect.

About your work
My research involves investigation of the association between genotype with corresponding cognitive alterations in the patients with Backers Muscular Dystrophy. Incurable nature of this disorder atleast necessitates an improved quality of life. I would also be interested in exploring the role of yogic practices as a therapeutic for ophthalmological disorders.
